Miss Singapore Beauty Pageant 2016: Grand Finals

Hello everyone!

How's your Monday coming along? I know I didn't post anything in two weeks but hey hey, I'm back with the final update on the Miss Singapore Beauty Pageant 2016! You know what that means: RESULTS!!!

The grand finals were held at Orchid Country Club~

I vwent alone this year so I didn't mingle much, also, I think I was slightly out of it because the week was just so insane. I felt really awkward being along so... Missed out on so many photo opportunities during the reception. ):

Like I said, I was the only blogger there tonight because Victoria wasn't able to come. The amount of awkwardness and momentary sadness I felt... Until I met the friendly people of Beauty Insider, which made me feel a lot less alone. ^^

I never realised how heartwarming a simple performance like that could be. I didn't think it'd make me feel happy to see them having so much fun on stage and doing something they enjoy. I also realised it did feel nice to see that they have something that can also bring joy to others, it was really nice ^^

In order of appearance: Vanessa Ng, Divya, Jeslyn Sng and Priscilla Martin. I'm still so baffled by Jeslyn's strength and technique, I mean, it was so mesmerising to watch!

I think they did pretty well for the Q&A, or at least, better than how I think I'd fare. It'd probably be my breaking point because everyone is just so darn quiet and everyone is STARING at you, judging your every word etc etc.

Also, you're technically 'alone' on that stage.. No one's gonna help you..

If that doesn't scare you enough, you're solid as a rock. Good for you!

Honestly, I didn't really know how to react to a huge amount of guys randomly appearing in blue speedos. Not exactly my cup of tea but I'm very very sure there were many other ladies enjoying the view! I got particularly uncomfortable watching one of them bboy in the tiny speedos.. It was kinda crazy!

But, a good change for a bit, no?

AND.. the moment we've all been waiting for: THE CORONATION.

Aren't they just lovely? 

I'm really proud of these girls, though I honestly didn't get to talk to any of them much during their pageant journey, so I'm pretty sure if they read this post and the previous ones they'd probably think I'm a weirdo stalker or something. I'm not a creeper guys, I promise.

WITH THAT ASIDE.

I'd say they deserved their crowns and I'm sure their family and loved ones would be so incredibly proud of them. I know I'd be if anyone I knew personally got so far! I hope these ladies continue to inspire and do what they love to make this world a better place (not going to say world peace, because honestly, that's not very tangible). I'm sure they've worked hard for their various causes and hopefully now, they get to pursue it all even further.
