Macau Day 2: Hotel Hopping

Hello everyone!

It's day 2 here in Macau and I am exhausted! I even had a nap in the middle of the day because I walked around so much! Mum and dad took turns going to the casino and walking around with me. Grandpa stayed in the casino of course.

I didn't go to many places with mum today but dad brought me hotel hopping and it was pretty exciting to see all the different interior designs and architecture! I didn't actually do much shopping today, more of snapping loads of photos and sleeping and eating. So this post is gonna have more photos than anything.

So this was what my morning was filled with

To start of the day, we went to the A Ma/Ma Chu Temple at the Coloane area. According to my dad, Grandpa goes there whenever they go to Macau. It's my first time there and I was having the time of my life snapping away while they offered the incense sticks. We took a 15-20 minute drive from our hotel to the temple which is on top of a hill.

Is this not awesome!?

As I've ventured through my poly life I've slowly developed the appreciation for architecture, especially those of temples and old palaces. This temple is no exception. It's really beautiful and everything is so intricate and detailed. Honestly I think everything I've been seeing so far has it's own degree of fine detail and artistry.

After lunch, dad brought me to explore a bit while mum took her turn at the casino, which was followed by the greatest afternoon nap ever, then dinner at Lei Gardens which wasn't too bad at all. They had attentive staff and the food was pretty good! Though I think it's a little to the pricey side? But yeah, good food and good service. I guess you really get what you pay for.

With that being said, I'm just gonna show you a few photos that I've taken of my hotel and the few other hotels dad brought me to look at!

This is the west lobby of the Venetian where I'm staying at~

It's been hazy, and photos taken from far away don't turn out very nicely. But nonetheless, it was a good walk. The various hotels have shuttle buses that go to almost everywhere in Macau, the ferry terminal, the older part of Macau and even between the various hotels! It's extremely convenient and its FREE.

I personally adore the night view of my hotel.

Took a stroll along the front of my hotel with mum after dinner. Snapped a few photos at the lobby as well since I didn't get the chance to do so yesterday (sorta forgot).

It's impossible to not love this place!

I know my photography skills do not do this place justice but yeah, I try my best to show you guys how AMAZING everything is at night. It's really pretty and it's so wonderful for photo shoots. Well I secretly wished I could have one here haha.

Welcome to the Galaxy Hotel

This hotel is probably one of the more, grand sorts. As you can see from the exterior already. It's extremely impressive and compared to the Venetian, it's a lot more organised and it's neater. Think of a grown up, more sophisticated version of a Disney Castle. That's what this place made me feel.

Shopping in this place isn't too great, it focuses more on food!

This colourful fountain is basically inspired by a peacock.

Most of the decorations in this hotel had been inspired by peacock feathers, and the bird itself. the neon fountain has a short little show every few hours or so I think, I was lucky enough to catch it while I was there!

And here we have the mini model~

The Wishing Crystals

Well I should have made a wish, but I was honestly just way too excited to take photos because of all the bright colours and the structures just fascinated me so much!

This is the City of Dreams!

Well I was expecting quite a lot from this place, having wandered around the Shoppes at the Venetian yesterday but I must say, I wasn't too thrilled. The shops were almost the same as the ones at the Galaxy and the Venetian but the rows of shops were much shorter and narrower.

The again they had an animated aquarium...

And cool dragons all over the place.

Like I said, I wasn't too enthralled by the shops but the architectures definitely made up for it since they probably kept my attention more than anything else.

Lastly was the Holiday Inn

We didn't stay here for long since everything wasn't too fancy and the shops were relatively at the minimal. We wandered to another hotel but I forgot what it was called (oops). But it was connected to the Venetian by a link bridge called The Bridge of Stars Gallery.

One of the most beautiful floral arrangements ever!

one of the coolest fountains ever.

Bridge of the Stars!

Well honestly it wasn't much, just handprints and photos of their home grown stars. I'm not usually into that stuff so I wasn't too absorbed into the gallery exhibits!

That's all for Day 2! I did have a lot more photos but I didn't want to overload the blogpost with it. I just put up the better ones! I have to wake at 7am for the city tour tomorrow, which I'm half looking forward to and half dreading (clearly I'm not a morning person). I shall head to bed and I'll update you guys about Macau again tomorrow!
