Miss Singapore Beauty Pageant 2018: Grand Finals
Hello everyone!!
The Miss Singapore Beauty Pageant 2018 has come to an end, honestly, I've missed blogging for ERM so much, so it really feels great to be back after a year! As the title states, I'll be talking about the Grand Finals, held at Orchid Country Club!
I tried uploading a Get Ready With Me on IGTV, but it got blocked...
Not 100% sure why it seems to be up on facebook (most of it, at least), but it was a shame that the videos are banned in Hong Kong and Singapore, so if you aren't in those countries, let me know if you can view my videos? HAHA.
But that's not the most important thing, we should be talking about the contestants and the pageant!! If you're wondering, my lovely gown is from Alelux (if you've seen it on instagram), but I'll talk more about that later! ^^

I've had my own personal favourites, but for the sake of the blogpost and potential excitement, I shall not say anything ^^

After the speeches, we had our top 4 ladies from the talent round battle it out for Miss Talent! You can see snippets of their talent round in my vlog ^^
Contestant No. 3: Chan Qian Yi
I'm glad she stuck to playing Gu Zheng for her performance! You can really tell how much she loves playing this instrument and although I was hoping she was going to wear a different qipao for the Grand Finals, the overall performance was still very very pretty! I definitel think it was something unique to grace the stage!
Contestant No. 6: Chew Min Shi Regina
I LOVE her costume! I think it was my favourite costume of the night. The white makes the rainbow scarf stand out a lot more than her red costume! Just look at how pretty it looks as a whole!!
Contestant No. 9: Chong Mei Gan, Megan
I think there's a rainbow theme going on haha.
With that aside, I AM SO HAPPY SHE DID GYMNASTICS FOR HER PERFORMANCE!!! I love watching rhythmic gymnastics (I think it'd absolutely mind-blowing) and I loved that she decided to do an item with the ribbon! It makes her stand out as well as shows off her unique skills and flexibility.

She did another singing item, and she sang the same song she did for the talent round a few weeks back, but this time, I think she nailed it! She did a duet with our guest performer Willam Soh who has flown all the way down from Hong Kong! It was definitely quite a treat for everyone! ;)
Up next, the Swimwear segment! Bikinis by Inner Desire!
And it was time to give our some of the subsidary awards!

I absolutely LOVEEEEE the wedding gown segment. A dress could define you, and the right dress would take you places (I know they say this about shoes, but I feel that way about dresses too) and looking at the choices made, you know which contestants took risks at being bold!
