Little Ms & Mr Tampines 2018 Finals
Hello Everyone!
Last Sunday, the little contestants for the Little Ms and Mr Tampines 2018 came to the big stage at the Festive Plaza of Our Tampines Hub to compete in the finals! It was very heartwarming to see that the little ones have grown from the auditions; from being timid to being excited to catwalk on stage! I would imagine that it was quite an experience for them to be on such a big stage, with so many people taking photos of them.
Just look at that crowd! And this was taken even before the event started.
So in my previous blogpost, I mentioned a little about the pageant:
The winners will be able to go straight to the finals for the Little Cinderella & Manhunt pageant in 2019! They will also get to be the face of Our Tampines Hub! The 4 categories of the Little Ms & Mr Tampines are as follows:
- Little Miss Tampines (7-12 years old)
- Miniature Tampines (4-6 years old)
- Little Mister Tampines (7-12 years old)
- Junior Tampines (4-6 years old)

Then came the Miniature category
Followed by the Little Mr and the Junior contestants!
We had a guest performance by
Lauren Natasha Campbell, the winner of Little Cinderella Singapore 2015
I believe the dance she performed was a Tahitian dance? It was the first time I've ever seen anything like this, let alone from a child performer and I was so blown away. It was unique and she was amazing on stage! I enjoyed her performance so much, and it made me wish that I could have seen her when she was competing in Little Ms Cinderella and Manhunt!
Following her performance, we had the top 5 kids from the talent round to perform and compete for the title of Best Talent!

I thought the kids did extremely well! Considering that their talent round was in a closed environment, and they had to perform in front of so many people! I thought it was great that they had audiences clapping and got passersby looking!
I actually feel that these experiences are so important for children, and I think it's great that the parents have given the children a chance to do something like this other than cooping them up in school.

Shawn Chin, Little Manhunt 2018
He definitely looked like a rockstar, he had coloured streaks in his hair. Pretty darn cool! He performed a little acoustic number for us on stage.
Up next was another guest performance!
Little Cinderella 2018, Mayuri Eva Swartsenburg blew us away with a dance number as well!

It was then time to have all the Little Miss Contestants on stage!
They came up in their evening wear! You guys know, this is always my favourite segment in any pageant, I just love evening gowns, so it wass definitely a treat for me when I saw the little ones come on stage with their evening wear!
They also had a mini Q&A segment as well. Nothing too intense like the other pageants, of course! Mostly it was about who chose their gown, what their favourite cartoon characters or colours were, or their favourite subject in school!

This time it was a performance by the winner of Best in Talent in the Little Cinderella & Manhunt 2018, she did an amazing job, I loved the fans that she used!
